Everything Means Everything to Me
2024
My senior thesis at Parsons School of Design, Everything Means Everything to Me, is a series posters and small zines. Everything Means Everything to Me explores how each of the five senses carry nostalgia. Through a combination of different print media that represent my own memories, the project is a collection of smaller pieces, each under the umbrella of a specific sense. The project aims to represent my own intense fleeting moments of memory, furthered by their association to taste, touch, scent, sight, or touch, into print. I am interested in exploring how to represent non-physical ideas and emotions as a physical manifestation. The project takes the form of a series of books and posters each of which represents one of the five senses. These smaller pieces explore identity, physicality, nostalgia, and the meanings of objects in relation to memory.
I created a logo system inspired by the body parts associated with each of the senses to build a system within the work. Each is found within their respective pieces in the collection. My goal was to make abstract a visual element for each of the senses, while still having enough resemblance that pattern recognition helps the viewer know the sensorial perspective each books or posters should be viewed with.

Everything Means Everything to Me: Scent
The mini book is made up of images and descriptions of scent memories I have from specific locations and objects.
Everything Means Everything to Me: Taste
The mini recipe book is comprised of recipes collected from friends and family. They all submitted recipes that have a special meaning to them. This spread is a recipe my late grandmother adapted for me so that I could still eat a meat dish when I was vegetarian.
Everything Means Everything to Me: Sound
This album and ‘lyric’ insert was inspired by my collection of sounds that I hace recorded over the years. I like to catalog sounds that capture a specific feeling, or remind me of a time through echoic memory.
